I’m thrilled to share a pivotal moment in my artistic journey. This summer, I unveiled “Oceanic Meditation,” my very first painting in a completely new style.
After years of oils and mixed media work, I challenged myself with pure acrylics. Consequently, this piece marked the beginning of something transformative in my practice. Moreover, the decision to abandon familiar mixed media techniques felt both daunting and exhilarating.
“Oceanic Meditation” captures that meditative state I find by the water. The flowing, organic forms dance across the canvas. Meanwhile, the vibrant blue and orange palette creates dynamic tension. Furthermore, these colors mirror the ever-changing moods of the sea itself.
What strikes me most is how the medium became my teacher. Working with pure acrylics demanded a different kind of presence. Therefore, I had to let the paint flow and guide the composition. As a result, the interconnected forms feel almost alive, pulsing with energy.
This painting represents a significant artistic exploration. Additionally, it’s a new way of expressing the same deep themes that guide my work. Furthermore, the oceanic subjects that consistently draw me found fresh expression through this medium.
The figure with pink hair emerges naturally from the fluid background, embodying tranquility and wonder. Similarly, the organic shapes suggest underwater currents and celestial movements. These elements combine to create a piece that feels both grounded and ethereal.
“Oceanic Meditation” is the cornerstone of a larger series. Each piece will explore these fluid, abstract forms. Additionally, the collection will delve deeper into color relationships and movement.
Finally, it will examine the meditative qualities I find in nature’s most powerful elements. This new direction opens endless possibilities for artistic expression. I invite you to experience this new chapter alongside me. Together, we’ll watch as it continues to unfold.
